I also stayed in Charlotte long enough to join the Horizon Eye Care team as it "Walked for the Cure" for MS. Always a fun day with this crowd.

I stayed with cousin Patsy and her husband Owen McConnell in Durham, here seen photographing a pile of coyote scat. Actually there is a Gemmed Satyr on top of the pile. Nice find.

I crossed the Chesapeake Bay to the DelMarVa peninsula. Chincoteague/Assateague are islands at the upper end of the peninsula.

Red Foxes are the enemies of Piping Plovers, but still make for great pictures. This little pup was hoping I didn't really see him at the mouth of his den.
