I am a husband, a proud father and a professional pilot. I have a keen interest in travel and living an outdoors lifestyle. Two of my biggest passions, apart from spending time with my family, are scuba diving and ocean paddling. I also have a keen curiosity for our history and the natural world we live in.

We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.

Do you really want to look back on your life and see how wonderful it could have been had you not been afraid to live it?

This blog explores what waits to be discovered. Whether you seek a thrilling adventure, a well planned tour of a city, diving in a tropical paradise or relaxing and putting your feet up. I will take you to the past and present, as we visit some of my favourite destinations.

Carl Sagan once said, “You have to know the past to understand the present.” This is especially true when you visit a new place. How can you appreciate historical sites and must see attractions if you don’t know its origins. As we look back at the timeline of history, we can understand it’s cause and effect on the culture and the personality of a place.

Nothing brings me more peace than exploring the worlds tropical oceans. Whether it is on the surface while I paddle or under the sea when I scuba dive. Coming across a curious sea turtle, while it is going about its business, is something truly special. It connects you to the natural world we live in. I will take you on a tropical ocean adventure and explore the underwater world.

Finally there is nothing better than experiencing an Africa Safari under the perfect sky. Set off into the wild and see the world like never before. Sitting in the bush on a moonlit night, so close to a lion that you can feel the rumble of its roar in your chest. Staying in a luxury bush camp, while enjoying gourmet meals under a baobab tree, going on sunrise game drive through the golden savannah and enjoying sundowners at the end of the day on a sunset game drive.
